The Ritual and Its Weight
The Kamadeva Homa is a fire rite offered to Kamadeva, the deva of desire and attraction, and to Rati, his consort. In the Vedic view, attraction is not a small thing. It is the force that draws two lives into one household, one hearth, one dharma. When that force is blocked — by planetary delay, by a family pattern, by years of proposals that come to nothing — the tradition prescribes that the blockage be addressed in fire, with mantra, with sweetness offered into the flame.
Devotees turn to the Kamadeva Homam at particular moments. When a marriage keeps being postponed. When a proposal is ready but never settles. When two people are married yet the warmth has thinned between them. Like the Markandeya Homa benefits sought for long life or the Tryambakam Homa benefits sought for protection, this rite is chosen for a specific human need — here, the need for union and affection. Priests at our Yagna Ashram perform it on your behalf, with your name, gotra and sankalpa spoken into the fire.
ॐ कामदेवाय विद्महे पुष्पबाणाय धीमहि । तन्नोऽनङ्गः प्रचोदयात् ॥ We contemplate Kamadeva, we meditate on the one who bears the flower-arrows; may that bodiless god of love inspire and awaken us.Why Devotees Book This
Each of these is what the tradition prescribes the Kamadeva Homa for — the sankalpa is made in your name at the fire.
For finding a life partner
Offered when the search has gone on long and no alliance has settled. The sankalpa asks that the right partner be drawn near.
For delays in marriage
Traditionally performed when proposals repeatedly stall, or when astrological indications point to postponement in the marriage house.
For marital harmony
Married devotees book this rite when warmth has faded — asking that affection, patience and companionship return to the home.
For the Kamadeva Rati union
Kamadeva is invoked with Rati, his consort. The pairing itself is the prayer: two beings, inseparable, offered as the pattern for your own bond.
For attraction and grace
The tradition holds that Kamadeva's grace lends charm and ease of presence — helpful where meetings, introductions and first impressions matter.
For reconciliation after estrangement
Offered by couples who have drifted or quarrelled, seeking the softening of hardness on both sides.

The most auspicious days for a Kamadeva Homa
These are the periods the tradition favours for the Kamadeva Homam.
Kamadeva is the deva of spring. Vasanta Panchami and the Chaitra–Vaishakha season are held to be his own time, and are especially favoured for this rite.
The days around Holi, when Kamadeva's story is remembered and re-enacted in the south as Kama Dahana, are traditionally chosen for offerings to him.
The waxing fortnight, particularly Panchami tithi, and Fridays under Shukra's lordship are classic choices for rites of love and marriage.
These stars are long associated with union, affection and settled married life, and are preferred when the panchanga allows.
You do not need to wait for one of these days. Whenever you book, our astrologers calculate the muhurta from your own birth chart — a date chosen for you personally, which tradition regards as more precise than a calendar date chosen for everyone. If you would like the homa on one of the days above, tell us at checkout and we will fix the muhurta within it.
What you receive
The sealing of the Kamadeva-Rati Yantra
When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.
Personal sankalpa
Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.
Live telecast
Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request an unlisted telecast at checkout.
Free energised Kamadeva-Rati Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet
Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.
Prasadam, shipped free
Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.
Yantra Pujas inside our consecrated sanctum
48-Day Anushthan (optional) — daily pujas for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches. Performed in our consecrated sanctum at the Yagna Ashram.
A note on sacred tradition
As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum.
Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link, which does not appear on our channel or in search, though anyone who has the link can watch it and share it.
We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.
How to wear your energised Kamadeva-Rati Yantra
The energised yantra is carefully rolled and sealed inside a sacred silver amulet before shipping. Wearing it is itself a small ritual.
Your auspicious time to wear it
Wear it for the first time on a Friday, between 6.30 and 7.30 in the morning. Bathe first, place the yantra on your pooja altar and offer your prayers, then wear it around your neck or your waist, on a red or black thread or a silver chain.
At a funeral
Take the yantra off before you attend a funeral.
Purify the amulet
Whenever the yantra has been taken off, or if it was worn at a funeral, dip it in raw milk or Ganga jal, show it incense, dhoop or attar (perfume), and then wear it again.
Keep the energy intact
You may repeat this energising once a week or once a month.

Kamadeva and Rati
Bearing a bow of sugarcane strung with honeybees and five flower-tipped arrows, the deva of desire rides a parrot, and beside him stands Rati, goddess of delight and his devoted consort. He is called Manmatha, the churner of hearts, and Ananga, the bodiless one, after Shiva's third eye reduced him to ash and Rati's grief won him a formless return. The Puranas place him among the devas who keep creation renewing itself, for the pull between beings is what makes households, lineages and dharma continue. Devotees turn to this pair when attraction and affection are the matter at hand
inmarriage sought, tenderness between spouses, the sweetness that binds two lives. Offerings of flowers, honey and sugar suit his nature.
In this homa that grace is invoked through fire, with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.
