The Ritual and Its Weight

The Maheswari Homa is a fire rite offered to Maheswari, the second of the Sapta Matrikas — the power of Maheshwara seated on the bull, trident in hand, crescent on her brow. Where other rites ask for gain, this one asks for adhikara: the fitness to hold a position, and the steadiness to keep it. Ghee, samit and herbal offerings are given into a consecrated fire while her name is recited, so that your effort at work is met by recognition rather than silence.

Careers stall in ways that have little to do with skill. A file sits unsigned. A senior forgets your name in the room where it mattered. Interviews end warmly and go nowhere. Tradition reads such patterns as a weakness of standing, and prescribes the maheswari homam to strengthen it — to settle the mind before a decisive meeting, to soften friction with those above you, and to place your name where decisions are made.

ॐ माहेश्वर्यै नमः I bow to Maheswari, the great sovereign power of Maheshwara.

Why Devotees Book This

Devotees turn to the Maheswari Homa at the turning points of working life. What tradition prescribes the rite for:

Before an interview or selection

Offered when a decision about you is about to be made by others — interviews, panels, shortlists and final rounds.

For a promotion held back

Invoked when your work is sound but recognition has not followed, to strengthen your standing where the decision rests.

Authority in your role

Maheswari is worshipped as command itself. Devotees seek her for a voice that carries weight in meetings and with teams.

Harmony with seniors

Recited to ease friction with managers and colleagues, so effort is not lost to misunderstanding and office politics.

Steady growth, not sudden leaps

The rite is traditionally offered for durable career progress — responsibility that holds, rather than a post soon lost.

Clarity in a career decision

Booked by those weighing an offer, a transfer or a change of field, seeking a settled mind before they commit.

Sacred timing

The most auspicious days for a Maheswari Homa

These windows are considered especially favourable:

Ashtami and Navami tithis

The Matrikas are classically worshipped on the eighth and ninth lunar days, held most potent for Maheswari's invocation.

Mondays and Pradosha

Days sacred to Maheshwara carry his Shakti's grace; Pradosha evenings are favoured for rites seeking authority and relief from obstruction.

Uttara Phalguni, Uttarashada and Rohini nakshatras

Stars long associated with position, patronage and lasting establishment — sought for career and appointment rites.

The days before your interview or appraisal

Where a date is already fixed, the homa is scheduled in the window just before it, so the offering meets the decision.

You do not need to wait for one of these days. Whenever you book, our astrologers calculate the muhurta from your own birth chart — a date chosen for you personally, which tradition regards as more precise than a calendar date chosen for everyone. If you would like the homa on one of the days above, tell us at checkout and we will fix the muhurta within it.

What you receive

The sealing of the Maheswari Yantra

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Personal sankalpa

Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.

Live telecast

Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request an unlisted telecast at checkout.

Free energised Maheswari Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet

Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Prasadam, shipped free

Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.

Yantra Pujas inside our consecrated sanctum

48-Day Anushthan (optional) — daily pujas for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches. Performed in our consecrated sanctum at the Yagna Ashram.

A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link, which does not appear on our channel or in search, though anyone who has the link can watch it and share it.

We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.

After it arrives

How to wear your energised Maheswari Yantra

The energised yantra is carefully rolled and sealed inside a sacred silver amulet before shipping. Wearing it is itself a small ritual.

01

Your auspicious time to wear it

Wear it for the first time on a Monday, between 6.30 and 7.30 in the morning. Bathe first, place the yantra on your pooja altar and offer your prayers, then wear it around your neck or your waist, on a red or black thread or a silver chain.

02

At a funeral

Take the yantra off before you attend a funeral.

03

Purify the amulet

Whenever the yantra has been taken off, or if it was worn at a funeral, dip it in raw milk or Ganga jal, show it incense, dhoop or attar (perfume), and then wear it again.

04

Keep the energy intact

You may repeat this energising once a week or once a month.

Who is invoked

Maheswari

Second among the Sapta Matrikas, she carries into female form the whole bearing of Maheshwara. She rides the bull Nandi, holds the trishula, and wears the crescent moon on her brow with serpents coiled at her arms and matted hair bound high. The Devi Mahatmya describes the Matrikas emerging from the great gods to stand with the Goddess in battle; from Shiva comes this one, calm-faced and unhurried, whose weapon is authority rather than fury. In the Matrika circles carved on temple walls she sits in the seat of settled command. Devotees approach her when the question is standing rather than gain — the right to hold a place, the composure that keeps it, and the steadiness of one who does not need to raise her voice to be heeded.

In this homa that grace is invoked through fire, with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Questions

Frequently asked

The Maheswari Homa is a Vedic fire ritual offered to Maheswari, the second of the Sapta Matrikas and the Shakti of Maheshwara. She is invoked as adhikara-shakti, the power that makes one fit to hold a position. Offerings of ghee, samit and herbs are made into a consecrated fire with her mantra, and the rite is traditionally prescribed for those seeking employment, recognition and authority in their working life.
Tradition prescribes the maheswari homam before interviews and selections, for a promotion that has been held back, for a stronger voice with seniors and teams, and for steady rather than fragile career growth. Devotees also book it for clarity before accepting an offer or changing fields. The rite is an offering, not a guarantee — it is performed to place your effort under Maheswari's grace.
Anyone whose working life is at a turning point: job seekers and freshers, professionals awaiting a promotion, those facing repeated interview disappointment, business owners and managers who must carry authority, and families offering it on behalf of a son or daughter entering the workforce. Qualified priests perform the homa at our Yagna Ashram on your behalf — you need not attend or travel.
Ashtami and Navami tithis are classical for Matrika worship. Mondays and Pradosha evenings, sacred to Maheshwara, are also favoured, as are the nakshatras Uttara Phalguni, Uttarashada and Rohini. If your interview, appraisal or joining date is already fixed, our priests set the muhurat in the window just before it, choosing from your birth details.
The priests begin with Ganapati puja, sankalpa in your name, star and gotra, and punyahavachana. Kalasha sthapana and avahana seat Maheswari in the vessel; the agni is kindled and consecrated. Her mantra is then recited with offerings of cow ghee, samit, havan samagri, bilva, durva, sesame, rice and jaggery. The rite closes with purnahuti, deeparadhana, prarthana for your career sankalpa, and prasadam. You watch the entire homa on a live telecast, and the prasadam with an energised Maheswari Yantra is couriered to you anywhere in the world, free.
Book online from any country on this page. Give your name, birth star, gotra and your career sankalpa — the role, the interview date or the promotion you seek. Our team confirms the muhurat and sends you the live telecast link. Priests perform the homa at our Yagna Ashram in your name, and prasadam with the energised Maheswari Yantra is couriered to your address worldwide.
Our silver amulets are specially made for everyday wear: copper is added to the silver to make them more durable. With regular use, the amulet may turn black, reddish or brown as it is exposed to heat and reacts with the chemicals in cosmetics. Wipe it regularly with a soft, dry cotton cloth, keep perfume and cosmetics away from it, and clean it by rubbing it gently with a pinch of vibhuti (sacred ash). Every six months, polish it with cotton dipped in a silver cleaner, but never soak or dip the amulet itself. Never open it, as the energies of the yantra are sealed inside. If it is ever damaged, send it back to us, not to a jeweller.
