An ashram, its priests, and one way of working
AstroBhava is a Vedic remedy house — rituals performed one sankalpa at a time, guided by astrology, from our own Yagna Ashram in Pollachi, Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu, with Yantra Pujas inside our consecrated sanctum. A body of over 120 priests serves these rituals; this page introduces the principal panel among them by name and photograph, along with our founder, our chief astrologer, our chief technology officer, and the team that looks after you. No claims, just names and practices you can verify.
Smt. Bhuvaneswari
AstroBhava exists because Bhuvaneswari built it — on one conviction: that a devotee sending money across the world for a ritual they cannot attend is entitled to the tradition unthinned, and to know exactly who is serving them. Every practice this page describes is her standard, made operational: one sankalpa per fire, every ceremony telecast live, every priest examined before he joins the panel, every person who serves you named. The certification the company holds — ISO 9001:2015 Certified, verifiable on the IAF public register — is that same conviction, submitted to outside audit.
She came to this work carrying both of its halves. An engineer first — a B.Tech in Information Technology from Anna University — then a manager, with an MBA taken across two continents, at PSG Institute of Management in Coimbatore and the University of Toledo in the United States. And alongside them, the credential that explains why AstroBhava is run the way it is: a Master of Arts in Yoga for Human Excellence from Bharathiar University — the same degree Brahmashree Shivaaya holds. The engineering shows in the live telecasts and the tracking numbers; the yogic study shows in what we refuse to do for revenue.
Shri Kandha Kamatchi
Kandha Kamatchi has spent more than twenty-two years in enterprise infrastructure, most of them in Singapore, running the systems and virtual-desktop estates that banks and financial-services firms are obliged to keep available, recoverable and auditable. He holds an MSc in Data Science from Teesside University in the United Kingdom, post-diplomas in cloud and data-centre engineering from Nanyang Polytechnic in Singapore, and is a Certified Kubernetes Administrator with the Linux Foundation.
At AstroBhava he is responsible for what sits between a devotee and the fire: a booking that has to carry a name, gotra and nakshatra without altering them; a telecast that has to reach one household at the muhurta calculated for it; and a record that has to still say, months afterwards, what was performed and for whom. He works from Pollachi, Coimbatore District, where the Yagna Ashram is, and his current engineering is in AI infrastructure and agentic systems.
Our vision & mission
Vision
That a devotee anywhere in the world can receive a Vedic ritual exactly as the tradition performs it — individually, in their own name, by qualified priests, at a consecrated fire — without the tradition being thinned to reach them.
Mission
To diagnose before we prescribe — astrology first, remedy second; to perform every ritual one sankalpa at a time and show it live; to state plainly what a ritual can and cannot do; and to put a name and a face to every person who serves you.
Three practices we never vary
Your name, throughout
The sankalpa is taken in your name, gotra and nakshatra — and up to four nominated family members if you wish — and carried through every offering. Two bookings are never combined into one fire.
Watched live, filmed honestly
The fire ritual is telecast live on YouTube, openly by default or on an unlisted link if you ask at checkout, and your recording stays on your dashboard for 30 days. What happens inside the temple sanctum is not filmed — Agama tradition prohibits it — and we say so rather than staging it.
What reaches you
Prasadam, vibhuti and — with every homa except Thila and Yamaraja — the yantra energised within your ritual, sealed in its silver amulet by Agamic rite, shipped worldwide at no charge, with tracking.
Brahmashree Shivaaya
Shivaaya, 43, began his training in the traditional way — within a lineage, from the age of five — and has practised Vedic astrology for thirty years. At AstroBhava, every ritual passes through his hands twice: he calculates the muhurta from each devotee's birth details before any date is fixed, and he leads the selection and examination of the priests who serve AstroBhava — a body of over 120, from whose ranks the principal panel below is drawn.
Alongside the lineage sit three degrees — a postgraduate degree in Hindu Philosophy from International Hindu University in the United States, an MBA from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom, and a Master of Arts in Yoga for Human Excellence from Bharathiar University in India — and teaching: workshops conducted across four countries. He keeps the disciplines of his training without exception, including one that shapes his entire calendar: he does not read charts before sunrise or after sunset.
Consult him personally — 60-minute readings, daylight slots →Our Chief Priest Panel
Three senior priests lead the homas performed at the ashram, at the head of AstroBhava's wider priest body. They are named here because you are entitled to know who leads your ritual.
Brahmashree Rajeev Namboodri
Head Priest & Master of Vedic Fire Ceremonies
Brahmashree Sasi Namboodari
Lead Temple Priest — Agama & Vedic Rituals
Brahmashree Ganapathi Subramanya
Vedic Scholar & Chief Homam Acharya
Our Advisory Priest Panel
Ten further senior priests complete the principal panel, drawn from the more than 120 priests who serve our ashram and temples. Their titles are not decorations — each is an earned Vedic credential, explained below, because they are the surest proof of the depth behind your ritual.

Balaji SharmaVedha VibhooshanamWhat the titles mean
- Brahmashree
- An honorific of address for a Brahmin of recognised Vedic learning — a style conferred by usage and standing, carried by the senior priests of our panel.
- Namboodri
- The Namboodiri Brahmins of Kerala — the community that has preserved the Vedic shrauta fire rituals in unbroken hereditary practice, from which our head priests come.
- Ghanapadi
- A priest who has mastered ghana-patha — the most intricate of the Vedic recitation orders, in which every word is repeated in a fixed weaving pattern. It takes years beyond ordinary Veda study, and it is examined, not self-declared.
- Jatapadi
- Master of jata-patha, the "braided" recitation in which word pairs are chanted forward and back — the discipline from which ghana-patha ascends.
- Shrowthigal
- A priest versed in the shrauta rites — the solemn fire rituals of the Veda itself, the oldest stratum of the tradition.
- Nithya Agnihothri
- One who maintains the agnihotra — the twice-daily fire offering — without interruption, every sunrise and sunset, as a lifelong vow.
- Prokithar
- A hereditary officiant title of the Tamil tradition — the family priest entrusted with a community's rites across generations.
- Shivagama / Vedha Bhooshanam
- Honorific titles — "ornament of the Shaiva Agamas," "ornament of the Veda" — conferred by institutions for demonstrated mastery, not adopted.
Devotee Relationship & Care Team
When you write to us on WhatsApp or email, these are the people who reply — named here for the same reason the priests are.
Leads devotee care end to end — if something in your experience isn't right, it reaches her.
Your booking, muhurta confirmation, telecast link and shipping updates pass through her hands.
Keeps consultation scheduling and Nadi enquiries moving, so answers reach you without chasing.
Prepares the do's-and-don'ts, mantra guidance and observance notes that accompany your ritual.
Reads every piece of feedback you send after your prasadam arrives, and carries it into how we work.
What we believe — shown, not claimed
Every organisation lists values. Here is what ours cost us, which is how you can tell they are real.
Brahmashree Shivaaya does not read charts outside daylight, though it costs him bookings. The sanctum is never filmed, though filming it would sell. Fierce-deity rites carry cautions, not upsells.
We tell you when a single ritual — or no ritual — serves you better than a costlier one. Every ritual is individual; we refuse group sankalpas even though they would multiply revenue.
The principal priest panel named and pictured, at the head of a body of over 120. Live telecast of every fire ceremony. What tradition forbids us to show, we say plainly rather than stage.
People reach us in difficult moments. Our care team answers by name, our guidance states what a ritual can and cannot do, and nothing here trades on fear.
Every priest is examined by Brahmashree Shivaaya before joining the panel. Recitation credentials like Ghanapadi are earned and verifiable — see the glossary above.
