Homas when the one who stands against you has a name.
Some obstacles arrive as circumstance. Others arrive as a person — a rival at work, an opponent in court, a partner who will not settle, or ill-will that feels aimed rather than ambient. The rites in this category are performed when conflict has become specific: when the devotee can point to who, or what force, presses against them. Each homa is offered at the Yagna Ashram with that sankalpa held clearly, and telecast live. The house names the purpose of the offering.
Devotees book these for
- A lawsuit in which the other side refuses every reasonable settlement
- A colleague who systematically undermines proposals, credit or standing
- A business competitor who blocks tenders, deals or partnerships
- A property or inheritance dispute that has hardened over years
- Ill-will that feels directed — a gaze, a word, a working-against
- A family enmity that surfaces at every gathering or ceremony
- Open hostility after a broken partnership or failed negotiation
- The need to stand before a hearing, a board or a community without folding

These four are the ones most often weighed against each other. They are not interchangeable — each addresses a different part of the same difficulty.

Booking more than one is ordinary when the conflict has several faces. Tradition does not prescribe a single fixed ladder across this category. Bagalamukhi Homa is weighed when the field is a courtroom; Aditya Hridaya Homa when rivalry sits outside litigation; Sathru Samhara Homa when the opposition is commercial; Pratyangira Devi Homa when the pressure feels occult or unseen. The sankalpa and the pandit's reading of the situation set whether one rite suffices and, if not, in what order they are offered.
The most auspicious days for rites facing opposition
Certain weekdays and tithis are held especially fitting for the deities invoked when conflict is specific.
Sunday belongs to Surya. Aditya Hridaya Homa, which invokes the Sun, is often preferred on this weekday when rivalry and directed ill-will are the concern.
Tuesday is ruled by Mangala and long associated with courage in open conflict. Rites invoking Subramanya and other martial forms are frequently held on this day.
The eighth lunar day is traditionally linked with fierce forms of the Devi. Bagalamukhi and Pratyangira offerings are commonly scheduled when Ashtami falls.
The new-moon day is used for many protective and obstacle-facing offerings, especially when the work is to address pressure that does not show itself plainly.
The fourteenth tithi is sacred to Bhairava. When a Bhairava form is chosen for protection from rivals or hostile force, this tithi is often selected.
The sixth-day observance dedicated to Skanda is fitting for Subramanya. Sathru Samhara Homa and related Subramanya rites are naturally offered in this window.
You need not wait for one of these days. The muhurta is calculated from the devotee's own birth chart, so the rite can be scheduled when the need is present rather than deferred to a festival.
About success over enemies homas
Not sure which of these to choose?
If you are unsure whether your situation calls for a legal rite, a rival-facing rite, a business rite or protection from unseen hostility, begin with the free ritual guide; it sets the distinctions out in plain language. A live consultation is also available when you want the ashram's pandits to hear the facts and point to the fit.
Why a homa is performed for named rivals and targeted conflict
Opposition that can be named sits differently in a sankalpa than a vague run of hard luck. The devotee who arrives in this category usually knows the shape of the pressure — a litigant, a competitor, a relative, or a hostility that feels aimed. The homa is performed so that the name and the need are offered into the fire with precision, before the deity the tradition associates with that kind of firmness or protection.
These rites span several divine forms for a reason. Some are invoked when the field is a courtroom; some when the field is trade; some when harm seems to travel by gaze, word or unseen means. Choosing among them is less a matter of intensity than of fit — which face of the conflict is most true. The house performs the chosen homa at its Yagna Ashram and telecasts it live; what follows in the devotee's life remains with time, effort and the larger order of things.
A homa in this category is offered alongside your lawyer, your negotiation and your own caution. It is a ritual act held beside those efforts. The pandits take the sankalpa as given, perform the offering with the prescribed mantras and materials, and leave the fruit unclaimed in words — as the tradition requires.
