Homas for openings, authority and work that will not move.
When applications go unanswered, a promotion stays overdue, or a plan at work refuses to advance, the house performs the career homas at its Yagna Ashram and telecasts each rite live to the devotee. The fire is offered for the opening sought, the obstacle named, or the authority that will not settle — the rite tradition keeps for work that has stalled.
Devotees book these for
- Applications sent for months that draw no reply
- A promotion overdue while others advance past you
- A posting, transfer or role change that remains blocked
- Deals and ventures that fall through at the final stage
- Return to work after a long gap with no footing found
- A project or plan redrawn many times that never leaves the desk
- Authority at the workplace that will not take hold
- An interview season that must be met with steady nerves

These four are the ones most often weighed against each other. They are not interchangeable — each addresses a different part of the same difficulty.

Booking more than one is customary when the situation has several faces, not when it has only one. Tradition often begins with a Bhairava homa to address obstruction at work, then Maheswari when interviews, rank or lasting authority are the concern; Karya Siddhi Hanuman is brought when a particular plan or project will not move. Kapaala Bhairava and Asitanga Bhairava are near-identical in purpose — a devotee ordinarily chooses one of the two, not both.
The most auspicious days for career and work rituals
Certain days are held especially potent for the deities who govern livelihood, authority and the clearing of obstacles at work.
Thursday belongs to Guru. It is kept for expansion, livelihood and the favour of those who hold rank — fitting for rites offered toward openings and steady progress.
The ashtami dedicated to Bhairava is the natural seat for Kapaala and Asitanga Bhairava homas, when obstruction at work is the matter placed in the fire.
Wednesday is Mercury's day, long associated with commerce, correspondence and speech. It is often chosen when applications, interviews and dealings must move.
The tenth lunar day of victory is kept for undertakings that must cross a threshold — a decision, a posting, or work brought to completion.
Pushya is traditionally preferred for stable beginnings and for work meant to take lasting root rather than a brief opening.
A devotee need not wait for one of these days. The muhurta for each homa is calculated from her own birth chart, so the rite may be set whenever the need is present.
About job & career homas
Not sure which of these to choose?
The free ritual guide sets the career homas beside each other by the situation each is booked for, so a devotee can see which fits before choosing. If the picture is still mixed — employment and a side venture, or obstruction together with an interview — a live consultation will sort the order with care.
Why a homa is performed for work and career
Work stalls for many reasons — an application that never reaches the right desk, a promotion held back, a venture that loses momentum, or simple obstruction that no amount of effort seems to shift. In the Vedic household these are not treated only as practical problems. They are also matters placed before the deity in fire, with the name, the gotra and the difficulty stated clearly.
A homa for career is performed for the opening, the path, or the authority sought. Bhairava is invoked when the way itself is blocked; Maheswari when rank, interviews and steady growth are the concern; Karya Siddhi Hanuman when a named task or plan will not advance. Indrani is kept for ventures, deals and expansion rather than salaried progress alone.
The house performs each rite at its own Yagna Ashram. The devotee does not attend in person; the homa is telecast live so she may sit with the offering as it is made. What follows in the world of work remains in the hands of time, effort and grace — the rite is offered beside all three.
