Stuck job searches, missed promotions, a toxic workplace or sudden loss of employment are not only résumé problems. In the Vedic view they often reflect planetary affliction, dasha pressure and karmic obstruction around livelihood. Effort remains essential; the tradition simply holds that fire ritual can address the chart-level causes that ordinary hustle does not touch.

A homa for job problems is chosen by the nature of the difficulty — stagnation under many planets, lack of recognition, Saturnine delay, Rahu-linked upheaval, blocked income, or weak performance in exams and interviews. Matching the rite to the cause is the whole method.

Why career trouble is read in the chart

Vedic astrology places profession and status in the 10th house, service, conflict and daily work in the 6th, and income in the 2nd. All nine grahas — Surya, Chandra, Mangala, Budha, Guru, Shukra, Shani, Rahu and Ketu — are propitiated in one sitting with their respective offerings of herbs, grains and samidha, under mantras fixed for each.

It is classically indicated for professionals held in the same role despite steady work, for job-seekers meeting repeated refusal across many interviews, and for those whose trajectory shifted sharply after relocation or a change of country. Surya, Shani and Rahu — three common career patterns

Surya and recognition. A weak or afflicted Sun often shows as lack of visibility, difficulty asserting authority, trouble with government or hierarchical roles, and a sense of being undervalued. These sit naturally beside the planetary work rather than replacing it.
