Your free horoscope

Choose your rashi — your Vedic Moon sign. Your Western Sun sign does not determine your Vedic Moon sign, so calculate your Moon sign from your birth details if you are not sure which is yours.

Planetary transits

The slow-moving planets set the shape of a year. Each page carries a detailed reading for all twelve rashis, with the transit dates that drive it.

Your day

Today's Panchang

The five limbs of the Vedic day for your own city — tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana and vara, with sunrise and sunset. You get: today's full panchang plus Rahu Kalam, Yamagandam and Gulikai, and what the day favours. Open the Panchang →

Hora Muhurat

Each hour of the day belongs to a planet. The Hora tells you which rules the hour you are in, and what it favours. You get: the current hora, the day's full sequence, and which activities suit each. See this hour →

Choghadiya

The day divided into eight periods, each auspicious or otherwise — the system used for beginning travel, work and transactions. You get: today's day and night choghadiya, with Amrit, Shubh and Labh marked. See today’s periods →

Rahu Kalam Today

The ninety minutes of the day in which nothing new is begun, calculated from your own sunrise — with Yamagandam and Gulikai. You get: today's Rahu Kalam, Yamagandam and Gulikai, and the same three for the week ahead. See today’s Rahu Kalam →

Tithi Calendar

The lunar days ahead — Ekadashi, Pradosham, Sankashti, Amavasya and Pournami, with the observances that fall on each. You get: this month's and next month's dates, and the ritual traditionally performed on each. See the tithi dates →

Festival Calendar

Every major observance of the Hindu year with the tithi that fixes it, and the rite traditionally performed on it — dates for your own city. You get: twelve months of dates, why each one moves, and the ritual for each — with past dates dimmed and the next one marked. See this year's festivals →

Grahan Timing

Every Chandra Grahan and Surya Grahan of the year — whether each can be seen where you are, and when. You get: the local start and end of each eclipse, its sutak, and the rashi and nakshatra it falls in. See this year's eclipses →

Lagna Today & Lagna Calculator

Every lagna from sunrise to sunrise for your city, the lagna rising now, and your own birth lagna from date, time and place. You get: today's lagna timings, the lagna rising now, and your birth lagna with its lord. See today's lagnas →

Muhurat Finder

The auspicious windows for a specific undertaking — marriage, griha pravesh, a vehicle purchase, a naming ceremony, a new business. You get: favourable dates and times ahead for what you are planning, in your own city. Find a muhurat →

Shraddha Calculator

The annual shraddha is kept on the tithi of passing, not the calendar date — so it moves each year, and it depends on where you are. You get: the annual tithi date, the matching Pitru Paksha day and Mahalaya Amavasya, for the city where the rites will be kept. Find the shraddha dates →

Your stars & remedies

Nakshatra Finder

Which of the twenty-seven birth stars is yours, its ruling planet and deity, and the qualities tradition attributes to it. You get: your nakshatra and pada, and the Nakshatra Homa performed for it. Find my nakshatra →

Today's Sankalpam

The sankalpa a priest would speak at this minute — kalpa, yuga, year, season, month, tithi and nakshatra — with your own name, gotra and birth star in it. You get: the sankalpa read for you now, your birth star, and the record of the moment you were born. Read my sankalpa →

Tarabalam & Chandrabalam

How today's nakshatra and the Moon's sign stand to your birth star and rashi — the two checks made before any beginning. You get: today's tara for all 27 birth stars, Chandrabalam for all 12 rashis, and your own next seven days. See today's tarabalam →

Numerology Calculator

Your name number by Chaldean numerology, your life path and birth numbers, and the Lo Shu grid of your date of birth. You get: your three numbers, the graha ruling each, and your Lo Shu grid with its missing numbers. Calculate my numbers →

Sahasra Chandra Darshan

The day of the thousandth full moon since birth, and the dates of Shashtipoorthi, Bhimaratha Shanti and Sathabhishekam. You get: the date and age of Sahasra Chandra Darshan, every milestone shanti, and the rites performed for it. Find the thousandth full moon →

Chandrashtama

The days each month when the Moon transits the eighth from your birth Moon — traditionally days to avoid beginning anything of consequence. You get: your Chandrashtama dates for the months ahead, from your own nakshatra. Find my dates →

Panchapakshi

The Tamil five-bird system — your birth bird and its cycle of activity through the day, used to time actions favourably. You get: your bird, its state right now, and the strong and weak periods of your day. Find my bird →

Gemstone Suggestion

Which stone your chart indicates — from the planet that needs strengthening, not from your birth month. You get: your primary and substitute stones, weight guidance, and the metal, finger and day for wearing. Find my gemstone →

Rudraksha Suggestion

Which mukhi is indicated for you — the beads are assigned by planet and purpose, and the wrong one is simply inert rather than harmful. You get: the mukhi your chart indicates, its ruling deity and planet, and how it is worn and cared for. Find my rudraksha →

Guides, not calculators

Some things are worth reading rather than computing. These explain what the tools above return.

Every dosha in a horoscope, explained

Kaal Sarp, Mangal, Pitra, Nadi, Shrapit, Kemadruma, Guru Chandal and the rest — what each is, how it is judged, and what tradition prescribes for it.

Already know you want yours checked? Run the Dosha Check — it computes which are present in your own chart.

Each birth star with its ruling planet, deity, symbol and the qualities tradition attributes to it — and the Nakshatra Homa performed for each.

What to do with what you find

A calculation tells you what is there. It does not tell you what to do about it — that is where these tools hand over.

If a dosha is flagged

Each has a prescribed remedy, and they are not interchangeable — Kaal Sarp, Mangal, Pitra and Nadi each have their own rite. See the Dosha Nivarana rituals →

If you're not sure what it means

How strongly a dosha acts, over what period, and what it touches in your life is a reading rather than a lookup. Book a live consultation →

If you know the difficulty, not the ritual

Describe your situation in plain words and Nirnaya will name what tradition prescribes — free, and at any hour. Ask Nirnaya →

Sign in and your birth profiles stay with you

Every tool works without an account. If you sign in and choose to save, your family’s birth details become reusable profiles — so you do not re-enter them, and a ritual form can reuse the same details. Tool results are not saved silently.

About these tools

Free, with no paid tier and no limit on how often you use them. We offer them because a devotee who knows what their chart holds can choose a ritual sensibly, and because the calculations cost us nothing to run once built. What is paid is the human work: a live consultation with an astrologer, and the rituals themselves.
Vedic throughout: sidereal zodiac with the Lahiri ayanamsa, which is the standard in India and the basis our astrologers work from. This is why your sign here may differ by one from a Western horoscope — the two systems measure from different starting points, and neither is a mistake.
The tools still compute. Without a birth time the lagna (ascendant) and the house positions are not calculated — they are left out, not approximated. The rashi (Moon sign), nakshatra and dasha come from the Moon and are indicative without a time: near a sign or nakshatra boundary they can change with the birth time. If the time is unknown, our astrologers can work from the date and place, and rituals do not require it.
No, and nothing here is designed to push you into one. If a tool flags a dosha we tell you which ritual tradition prescribes for it, because leaving that unsaid would be unhelpful — but the tools are complete in themselves and many devotees use them for years without booking anything.
Without signing in, AstroBhava does not create a profile or a saved result. Birth details are submitted to calculate the page and can appear in its URL and in standard server logs, but they are not added to a reusable account record. If you are signed in, typed details are still never saved silently — the result offers you the choice to save them as a birth profile. Profiles can be edited or deleted from your account. We do not sell or share birth data.
It does not. Guna milan is one measure among several, and a low score is customarily read alongside the full charts rather than treated as a verdict — some doshas are cancelled by other placements, which a points total cannot show. If a match matters to you, have both charts read properly. A consultation →

When a calculation isn't enough

A tool computes; an astrologer reads. For what a placement actually means for you — its strength, its timing, and what it touches — book a live session with one of our astrologers.

Why we give these away

Most astrology sites gate their calculators behind a sign-up, then sell the result back as a report. We do neither. The arithmetic of a birth chart is settled — the ephemeris is the ephemeris, and a kundli computed correctly is the same kundli whoever computes it. There is nothing to sell in that, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest.

What is genuinely worth paying for is the human judgement above the arithmetic: an astrologer who can read the whole chart and tell you which placement matters and when, and priests who can perform the rite tradition prescribes. That is what AstroBhava charges for. The calculations that lead you there are yours, free, as often as you want them.
