The Ritual and Its Weight
The Dhana Lakshmi Homa is a fire offering to the form of Mahalakshmi who presides over dhana — money, grain, gold, the earned and held substance of a household. Ghee, lotus, bilva, cane sugar and paddy are given to Agni while her mantra is recited, and the fire carries each offering to her. The tradition holds that wealth is not merely acquired; it is invited, honoured, and asked to remain. This homa is that invitation, spoken in the oldest language a household knows.

The Dhana Lakshmi Yantra is consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. When your homa concludes, it is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which those energies are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. How to wear your energised Dhana Lakshmi Yantra
Your auspicious time to wear it
Wear it for the first time on a Friday, between 6.30 and 7.30 in the morning. Bathe first, place the yantra on your pooja altar and offer your prayers, then wear it around your neck or your waist, on a red or black thread or a silver chain.
At a funeral
Take the yantra off before you attend a funeral.
Purify the amulet
Whenever the yantra has been taken off, or if it was worn at a funeral, dip it in raw milk or Ganga jal, show it incense, dhoop or attar (perfume), and then wear it again.
Keep the energy intact
You may repeat this energising once a week or once a month.

Ganapati Puja
The customary invocation to Ganapati, clearing obstacles before the deity is approached.
Agni Pratishtha
The fire is consecrated in the homa kunda and Agni invoked as the carrier of every offering that follows.
Dhana Lakshmi Avahana
The mula mantra of Dhana Lakshmi is chanted, inviting the deity's presence into the fire — by one, three or five priests as your package sets.
Ahuti
Ghee and akshata, with the flowers, grains and dravyas proper to this deity, are offered in sequence with mantra. Each priest makes 108 of these offerings with the mula mantra of Dhana Lakshmi — 108, 324 or 540 in all, by package.
Purnahuti
The final complete offering seals the sankalpa stated at the opening.

Among the eight forms of Mahalakshmi worshipped as the Ashta Lakshmi, this is the one who presides over dhana — coin, grain, gold and the earned substance a household keeps. She is shown seated on a lotus, radiant in red and gold, with a pot of gold, a discus and conch among her many hands, one palm turned outward in the gesture of giving. Where Dhanya Lakshmi rules the harvest and Gaja Lakshmi royal splendour, she governs wealth in its settled, countable form. The tradition calls Lakshmi chanchala, ever-moving, and holds that she stays where a home is kept clean, grateful and open-handed. Householders turn to her not for sudden fortune but for income that arrives in order and remains, and for a ledger tended with honesty.
