How to wear your energised Sankata Hara Ganapati Yantra

Your auspicious time to wear it
Wear it for the first time on a Tuesday, between 6.30 and 7.30 in the morning. Bathe first, place the yantra on your pooja altar and offer your prayers, then wear it around your neck or your waist, on a red or black thread or a silver chain.
At a funeral
Take the yantra off before you attend a funeral.
Purify the amulet
Whenever the yantra has been taken off, or if it was worn at a funeral, dip it in raw milk or Ganga jal, show it incense, dhoop or attar (perfume), and then wear it again.
Keep the energy intact

Sankata Hara Ganapati
Elephant-faced and broad-bellied, this form of Ganapati is worshipped as the one who takes away sankata — the closed, pressing situation. He is the son of Shiva and Parvati, first among those honoured at the start of any undertaking, and lord of the threshold where intention meets outcome. Iconography shows him seated in ease, one tusk broken, holding the noose and goad, a bowl of modaka near his trunk, one hand raised in the gesture that dispels fear. The noose draws a matter close; the goad moves what has stalled. Puranic accounts and the Ganapati tradition place him as Vighneshvara, master of obstacles, who both sets them and lifts them. Devotees turn to this form when a difficulty has tightened and ordinary effort no longer moves it.
