The Ritual and Its Weight
The Skanda Homa is a fire offering to Skanda, the six-faced son of Shiva who was born to lead the devas when no one else could. Tradition places him at the head of an army, spear in hand, sent out precisely when a matter had become too tangled for ordinary means. That is the reason this homa is turned to in legal trouble. A court case is a battle of claims, and the devotee who feels outnumbered by papers, delays and opposing voices comes to the one who commands.
A homa is not a prayer whispered and let go. Ghee meets flame, mantras are counted, and each offering carries your name, your star and the matter you are contending with into the fire. Priests perform the Skanda Homa at our Yagna Ashram on your behalf while you watch the live telecast from wherever you are. What the tradition prescribes here is clarity of mind, steadiness through the hearings, and the courage to stand behind what is true.
ॐ शरवणभवाय नमः Salutations to the one born in the reed grove — Skanda, who came into the world to lead and to protect. Why Devotees Book This
Devotees turn to the Skanda Homa when a legal matter has become heavy. These are the intentions the tradition attaches to the rite.
Court cases and hearings
Offered when a case is filed, listed or nearing judgment, seeking a fair and truthful hearing.
Long-pending disputes
For matters that have dragged across years — property claims, contested wills, boundary quarrels — asking that they move toward resolution.
Courage under pressure
Skanda is invoked for the nerve to face cross-examination, opposing counsel and public scrutiny without faltering.
Clarity of mind
Sought for a settled head when decisions must be made quickly, and for the discernment to choose the right counsel and the right course.
Relief from hostility
Among the classical skanda homam benefits is protection when opposition turns personal — from ill will, false accusation and pressure from adversaries.
Protection of family and standing
Like the subramanya homam benefits described in the tradition, this rite is offered for the good name and safety of the household while a matter is contested.

The most auspicious days for a Skanda Homa
Skanda puja is traditionally fixed to days that belong to him.
The sixth lunar day is Skanda's own tithi, and Shukla Paksha Shashti is the most sought-after day for skanda pooja and this homa.
Krittika recalls the six mothers who raised him; Vishakha is his star in many traditions. Both are held auspicious for the Skanda Homa.
Mangalavara, the day of valour and contest, is favoured when the intention is a legal battle or an adversarial matter.
The six days of Skanda Shashti and the festival of Thai Poosam are considered especially potent for invoking him.
You do not need to wait for one of these days. Whenever you book, our astrologers calculate the muhurta from your own birth chart — a date chosen for you personally, which tradition regards as more precise than a calendar date chosen for everyone. If you would like the homa on one of the days above, tell us at checkout and we will fix the muhurta within it.
What you receive
The sealing of the yantra
When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.
Personal sankalpa
Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.
Live telecast
Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request a private, unlisted telecast at checkout.
Free energised yantra, sealed in a silver amulet
Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.
Prasadam, shipped free
Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.
48-Day Anushthan (optional)
Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.
A note on sacred tradition
As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum.
Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.
We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.
How to wear your energised yantra
The energised yantra is carefully rolled and sealed inside a sacred silver amulet before shipping. Wearing it is itself a small ritual — and even its timing is set for you personally.
Your auspicious time to wear it
Our astrologer marks the auspicious date and time to wear the yantra according to your birth details — sent to you in the email carrying your shipment's tracking number.
Purify the amulet
Dip the silver amulet in raw milk or Ganga jal for an hour before wearing, then clean with normal water.
Face East or North
Perform the wearing process facing east or north for maximum benefit.
Offer dheep & dhoop
Show lamp and incense to the amulet before wearing it.
Wear it
Around your neck or waist, on a thread or chain.
Keep the energy intact
Repeated offering of dheep and dhoop keeps the energisation alive.
If you prefer not to wear it
Place the amulet at your puja altar, or keep it in your wallet.
How your Skanda Homa is performed

The customary invocation to Ganapati, clearing obstacles before the deity is approached.
Agni Pratishtha
The fire is consecrated in the homa kunda and Agni invoked as the carrier of every offering that follows.
Skanda Avahana
The mula mantra of Skanda is chanted, inviting the deity's presence into the fire — by one, three or five priests as your package sets.
Ahuti
Ghee and akshata, with the flowers, grains and dravyas proper to this deity, are offered in sequence with mantra.
Purnahuti
The final complete offering seals the sankalpa stated at the opening.
Aarti & Dispatch
Aarti is performed live on your telecast. Vibhuti, sandalwood powder, kumkum and your energised yantra are then packed and shipped free to your door.
Skanda
Born of Shiva's fire and nursed by the six Krittikas, this god carries six faces and twelve arms, and rides a peacock with a serpent beneath its claws. In his hand is the Vel, the spear given by his mother Parvati, a weapon the tradition reads as discernment itself — it cuts through what argument cannot. The Puranas name him Devasenapati, commander of the celestial army, raised to that office when the devas were outmatched and needed one who could act. Tamil devotion knows him as Murugan of the six hill shrines; the north calls him Kartikeya. Devotees approach this form when a matter has grown tangled and drawn out, when courage must hold and the mind must stay clear under pressure. The seed name Sharavanabhava recalls his birth in the reed grove.
In this homa that grace is invoked through fire, with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.
