The Tripura Sundari Homa is a fire offering to Lalita Tripura Sundari, the presiding Devi of the Sri Vidya tradition. She is called Tripura — she who dwells in the three cities: waking, dream and deep sleep; body, speech and mind; the three worlds within you. To offer into her fire is to offer those three states back to their source. Ghee, lotus, red flowers and sweet grain go into the kunda while her mantra is repeated.

How to wear your energised Lalita Tripura Sundari Yantra
Your auspicious time to wear it
Wear it for the first time on a Friday, between 6.30 and 7.30 in the morning. Bathe first, place the yantra on your pooja altar and offer your prayers, then wear it around your neck or your waist, on a red or black thread or a silver chain.
At a funeral
Take the yantra off before you attend a funeral.
Purify the amulet
Whenever the yantra has been taken off, or if it was worn at a funeral, dip it in raw milk or Ganga jal, show it incense, dhoop or attar (perfume), and then wear it again.
Keep the energy intact
You may repeat this energising once a week or once a month.

Ahuti
Ghee and akshata, with the flowers, grains and dravyas proper to this deity, are offered in sequence with mantra. Each priest makes 108 of these offerings with the mula mantra of Lalita Tripura Sundari — 108, 324 or 540 in all, by package.
Purnahuti
The final complete offering seals the sankalpa stated at the opening.

Tripura Sundari
The Soundarya Lahari, 'the wave of beauty', is a hymn of one hundred Sanskrit verses addressed to the Goddess as the consort of Shiva, whom it calls the daughter of the snowy mountain, Bhagavati and Janani, Mother. Tradition attributes it to Adi Shankaracharya, and the whole hundred is composed in the shikharini metre. South Indian practice divides it in two. Verses 1 to 41, the Ananda Lahari or 'wave of bliss', open with the claim that Shiva cannot even stir unless joined with Shakti, then turn to her seat on the island of gems in the ocean of nectar, the syllables that make up her name, and her dance with the nine-fold Shiva in the Muladhara. Verses 42 to 100 describe her form in order, from the golden crown set with twelve suns to the feet that her house swans try to imitate. Verse 99 speaks of the worshipper, and verse 100 hands the hymn back to her as words that were hers already.
