Vana Durga is Durga as She dwells in the wilderness — the goddess you call when the path ahead is unmapped and the dark is close. The Vana Durga Homa is a fire rite addressed to that form of Her. Ghee, herbs and forest woods are offered into the kunda while Her mantra is chanted in count, and the fire is asked to become a ring of light around the person named in the sankalpa. When your homa concludes, it is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which those energies are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. A note on sacred tradition
As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum.
Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and any family members you add, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link, which does not appear on our channel or in search, though anyone who has the link can watch it and share it.

How to wear your energised Vana Durga Yantra
Your auspicious time to wear it
Wear it for the first time on the day named in your dispatch email, between 6.30 and 7.30 in the morning. Bathe first, place the yantra on your pooja altar and offer your prayers, then wear it around your neck or your waist, on a red or black thread or a silver chain.
At a funeral
Take the yantra off before you attend a funeral.
Purify the amulet
Whenever the yantra has been taken off, or if it was worn at a funeral, dip it in raw milk or Ganga jal, show it incense, dhoop or attar (perfume), and then wear it again.
Keep the energy intact
You may repeat this energising once a week or once a month.

Ahuti
Ghee and akshata, with the flowers, grains and dravyas proper to this deity, are offered in sequence with mantra. Each priest makes 108 of these offerings with the mula mantra of Vana Durga — 108, 324 or 540 in all, by package.
Purnahuti
The final complete offering seals the sankalpa stated at the opening.

Vana Durga
Vana Durga is the forest-dwelling face of the goddess, the one whose proper realm is the uncultivated margin rather than the fortified temple or the royal court. She is remembered in tantric and folk strands as the protector of those who must move through wilderness—pilgrims, herdsmen, and travellers whose path leaves the safety of settled ground. Her name joins vana, the forest, to Durga, signalling that the inaccessible fortress can also be a grove, a thicket, or the deep shade where ordinary landmarks disappear. In certain lists of the nine Durgas she occupies the place of the wild, unbound shakti who does not require brick walls or consecrated flags. Offerings to her traditionally include leaves, wild flowers, and the acknowledgment that the forest itself is her body. She remains fierce, yet her fierceness is that of the untamed rather than of the battlefield.
